Xylitol

Major scare today - Lexi found a box of big TicTacs that my 7 yo had left on the floor. As far as we know, she only ate one. Of course I called my daughter who is a vet tech. She called her boss to find out how much damage one large TicTac with Xylitol could do to a 24 lb. dog. I was told to keep an eye on her and, if she became lethargic, rush her to the E clinic. That was two hours ago and there have been no symptoms who we're probably in the clear.

Sometimes I make myself crazy making sure that not only my kids are safe but also my dog. I watch my husband (a little absent-minded) like a hawk when he opens the bottle of Tylenol. My kids when they are eating chocolate. Etc., etc., etc.

There is always some danger lurking around.
