Here is the story of the French bulldog I have she is 7 months old. I am watching her for a friend while they are on tour over in Iraq till February. Well I am feeding her Iams and only about 1/2 to a cup twice a day and this dog will litterly take 4 poops in the morning and sometimes I think she's done cause of the amount she has passed I'll head to work and almost everyday now she has gone poop in her crate. Its getting very frustrating cause I feel she hasn't been properly crate broken (left in there to long and has learn to go to the bathroom where she lies from her previous owner) and I realize I have a long road on breaking that part. But I have never had a dog that poops as much as she does. I don't want to starve her but I never thought a little dog could pass so much poop. Any suggestions on feed or if there maybe something wrong, please help =)

Rachel, you pup is not absorbing any nutrients from Iams or Science, or any HIlls product. They are crap, best thing to do is stay out of Petco, or PetsMart, The eating schedule will not help at this point. You need a better quality More natural or Holistic diet. Never feed grocery store beef, if you home cook, It should only be for a very short time, otherwise as the recipe above, No calcium in the diet, will cause problems, Gluten from Rices/ or grains is ok sometimes, but not as a daily diet. I have fed a Raw ground diet for over 15 years. to Rotts & frendhies, There are some wonderful diets available, Depending on where yo are located, as well some wonderful supplements that as a powder, you add to the meal, w/ a little warm water, & please don't forget a wild salmon oil, Not pills they are useless, Remember your frenchie is Canine, as so Just becuase it may not look or smell good to you, does not mean that it is not right for them. They have 1/3rd the intestinal tract that you do., and their systems are different. Anywway if you would like further diet assistance, I do this for hundreds of frenchie, & rescue friends No i don't charge I just try to help from the years of learning researching and passing on knowledge.

Thanks so much for the info, her poop is very normal just a lot of it coming out lol!!! =) I have changed the eating schedule and so far it has helped a little. And thank you for future references on the type of food to feed her. Thanks again Rachel

Well one of the most important things is what kind of poop does she have???? is it normal poop or diarrhea?
if it is Diarrhea then her stomach is most likely not taking the food the right way and is giving her trouble digesting it. You should try switching the dog to a 2 ingredient diet for example something like beef and brown rice, or chicken and brown rice, or duck and potatoe...etc French bull dogs a lot of times are allergic to a lot of the ingredients that they put in the regular dog food like aims, and all the rest of the semi cheap brands. Food that work great on my frenchie is Canine ID, and Core...I try to cook for him though most of the time i just boil a chicken breast (no salt nothing) and boil brown rice. chop up the chicken mix it with the rice and give it to him, and that works out great!
Also a lot of times they don't care where they poop, in other words the whole theory about dogs not pooping in their own crate is not true! most do not but there are a lot of dogs that do, for example my dog did at 2-8 month now that he is 10 he begs to go out side so he can use the bathroom. :)

hope that helped!

p-s if her poop is normal and not loose then she is just being a puppy that she is and she is ok.

Well if you have any questions please ask.
