I have a stubborn almost 2 yr. old frenchie when the front door open he takes off.I have tried treats it does work sometime but i don't always have treats with me so that method kinda useless.Really afraid he might get hit by a car.It's very frustra…

HELP my lil. Frenchie having gas problem.

Hi all, my 15 months frenchie can really clear a room Very hard to be around him. He would pass gas almost every hr. I've been told it's the food so i tried switching to different brand.I purchase him from a breeder that was feeding him science diet so i kept the brand till he turn 1yr. old and decided to switch to a better high quality food that's when the gas problem started. Dalia is very obedient when its just her and I, but she gets too excited when anyone else is around. One thing that has really helped me is making her work for her food. She eats on a schedule twice a day. She cant eat until she sits and stays for it then I keep half of the serving and she has to work on obedience to get the rest of the food a little at a time. She sits, stays, touches, jumps, leaves it, lays down and so on until im out of food. Her gas is not as bad as most maybe due to the fact that I use her food for treats and training as well. Since shes on a eating schedule she loves the food for treats. I do this twice a day as well as teach her obidience during her 1-2 walks a day. Before we leave for the walks she has to sit and stay while I open the door to prevent her from running out. Its a lot to do considering I work full time, but the end result is so worth it. Dalia is only 5 mo old and she is way more obedient than most frenchies. Thanks for the color comment. If you could see her in person she has a bunch of black spots all over her body under her coat. Shes definitely eye catching.

Right now she is on a food trial for food allergies and eats Royal Canin Veterinary Prescription Diet which is rabbit and potato. The main thing I find that helps is to read the label and avoid soy and wheat, or look for food that says no grains.
