So cute...I was wondering if you could possibly help me out. I'm having a hell of a time trying to figure out where to get a frenchie. Everyone has me so freaked out online that you shouldn't do this/do that. Where did you get Gibby? I'm thinking of getting one from an Ohio breeder because there seems to be so much more breeders over there than in Michigan...
My gang is doing well, thanks for asking. Xack and Rich turned one year old in early August. I can't wait to hear when Jackie's girl has her babies, I am excited for her and you! Keep me posted, please!
Sorry - I'm just now seeing your comment on Louie's picture! Somehow the Frenchiefriends messages get sent to my spam folder and I never end up getting them.
His nails were painted sparkly orange! He didn't mind. ;) Louie is a pretty petite Frenchie, too. We were originally going to get one of those black masked fawn puppies from that same litter, but ended up deciding not to, was just too busy of a time for us. We just got another Frenchie about 3 weeks ago, a primarily white fawn pied little boy. He's a real hoot! Did you end up getting that puppy??
Hi Jill, Poppy came from outside of Toledo. Their website is riegseckerskennel.com. That picture was actually taken by the breeder. (I can't get my pics off my phone.) She sent us pictures twice before we picked him up at 8 weeks.
Hi Jill! No, ha! I'm not in the vet business...I have just spent waaaay too much time there! lol! We've done rescue and abuse/neglect for alot of years and I've had dogs my whole adult life. We had a boarding/training facility and I was a Special Constable for the SPCA years ago. I try to participate here when I can. I belong to another forum where I pretty much live and I've also learned alot there. :) Thanks for the friend invite!
Hey Jill - since you said it wasn't alerting you of my messages (not sure if it still isn't or not) I sent you an e-mail instead! Just thought I'd let you know. :)
Odd, my husband is really wanting an English too, but I prefer to have one that I can pick up and carry around if I have to. I'm not sure I'd want to have to pick up a 65 lb. dog when it's raining and snowing to make it go outside when it refuses to.. hehe. We also plan on getting another Frenchie this year, is there a specific reason why you don't want to get another one from Shirley?
We actually didn't get him directly from Shirley, we got him from a woman in West Virginia who had bought him from Shirley but was re-homing him because she had 4 kids who kept letting him run out the door, and he would run away... she was worried he was either going to get hit or get picked up by someone who wasn't very knowledgeable about French Bulldogs and not take care of him properly, so she decided to sell him.
We couldn't be more happy with him! We've had him since March of last year, and can't imagine our lives without him.. only complaint we have about him is that he's a super picky eater, we've had to switch dog foods several times, bought high end canned food, to try and get him to eat. Right now he's eating Solid Gold Barking at the Moon, and loves it.. we've tried everything.. Merrick, Merrick B.G., Wellness CORE, Blue Buffalo, Natural Balance, Instinct, Fromm's, the list goes on and on, canned food he's had Merrick, Nature's Variety, Wellness, Eagle Pac, Evo.. ugh.. I always buy grain-free food, high quality food, but out of all the foods, the Solid Gold is the only one he will actually eat everyday, we have the hardest time keeping weight on him.

I got Gaz from a breeder in Atwater. I think her sister is still available. Good luck with your search!
