Unfortunately Petsmart doesn't carry any of the higher quality foods, the only stores I know of that carry it are Complete Petmart, Petco, and Pet Supplies Plus. Sometimes a store will special order whatever brand of food you need, though. If you decide to go with something like Natural Balance, which I highly recommend.. we've had the best success with the sweet potato and fish formula. The only thing about the Natural Balance, is that their foods tends to have a low meat content in it, so I supplement with some canned food. I use the Instinct, 95% meat, duck or rabbit, and also use the Wellness canned food.. the turkey and sweet potato, and duck and sweet potato. The Wellness canned food also comes in small cans, so it's more practical when you are just feeding one dog, and you can feed half a can with each meal (assuming that you feed 2 meals per day).

Suki doesn't need to be on puppy food anymore. There are several "All Life Stages" foods (which is for puppies, adults, and seniors) out there on the market. Natural Balance is an All Life Stages food. One of our Frenchies will be 6 months old in 2 weeks, and he has been on Natural Balance since he first started eating solids at his breeder, and both my adult Frenchie and adult Boston Terrier were eating the Natural Balance before we even brought the puppy home, so they are all 3 on the same food. But even when switching from a puppy food, to an adult food, once they are 6 months old, they can start eating adult food. It is more important for a large breed puppy to stay on puppy food for a longer period of time, because of their rapid growth, and puppy food has a lower calcium content.

If you go to some of the web-sites of the food that I mentioned, you should be able to type in your zipcode and find a retailer that carries the food near you. Let me know if you have any more questions, and I'd be happy to answer them! :)

Hi Adam & Jennie- I noticed on one of your posts that you said you have fed Suki Beneful puppy food and have now switched her to Iams. The bumps that she has could be an allergic reaction to some of the grains in her current food. Many French Bulldogs are highly allergic to grains and fillers in a lot of the commercial dog foods. I would strongly urge you to visit www.dogfoodanalysis.com and look up reviews for both Beneful and Iams dog food.. I'm pretty sure they rank a 1 out of 6 stars (1 being the worst and 6 being the best). There really are some wonderful foods out there, and if you take a look at some of the 6, 5, and 4 star foods listed, I'm sure you can find a much healthier alternative that is better for her. I myself haven't had much luck with the 6 star foods besides Orijen and Solid Gold, but have had positive results with some of the 4 star foods, Natural Balance, and California Natural. Petco carries Natural Balance and Solid Gold.
