Our frenchie, Trucker is almost 9 months old and weighs right at 35lbs. Is this normal for a frenchie? He is fed 1/2 a cup of wellness core with a third of a can of wet food in the morning and half a cup of dry around 5 pm each day. He gets 5/6 dried salmon treats through out the day. I am just concerned he is overweight.

You can't really judge your dogs weight compared to other dogs.. each dog is built differently. Thirty-five lbs. is 7 lbs. over the breed standard (28 lbs.), but some French Bulldogs are much larger than the standard, while it's not desirable, it certainly happens. Can his ribs be felt easily? Not seen easily but felt when you rub your hands over his sides.. when you look at him above, can you see a waist line? When was the last time he was at the vet? Or does he have an appointment coming up soon? As long as your vet hasn't mentioned him being overweight, then he probably isn't. I went to your page to see if there were any pictures of him that show his whole body, but you don't have any more pictures of him besides your avatar one. :(

Just saw the pictures you added - although pictures can't always be an accurate judge, but looking at his pictures, he doesn't look to be overweight at all. In the second picture, the one that is taken from up above, I can see that he has a defined waist line. He just looks like he may have a little bit of a taller, leaner build, so he's apt to weight a little more than your typical Frenchie.. nothing to worry about!

Yes, judging by your pictures it looks like you have a very healthy baby. :) In general, the taller they are the heavier of course.
