Okay,so what exactly does it mean when the female trys hump/mount the male?Just showing some love or what?Pi'mon and Poppy were playing together in the yard the other day and all of a sudden Poppy climbed up on Pi'mon's back and went to humping.She hasn't done it since then though.It was funny.

I believe that's domination. Thank goodness Lexi doesn't do that. Otherwise, I'd have a lot of explaining to do to the kids.

Yeah really,if my kids saw that,they'd be a little confused,to say the least.I figured maybe it was just one of those crazy things that frenchies do.

I don't know... Abby has done that to my husband and me... but only when she's excited and happy and we are on the floor playing. We thought she was doing it because she hadn't been fixed, as we bought her retired, at the ripe age of 2, from a breeder. We've since had her fixed, and she still does it... but not very often. It's just Frenchie Girl attitude!

We know the signs when Abby is about to do it and we move away and avert her attention toward something else... I guess it's easier since she's our only dog... I guess if had another, we may see it more often. I guess everyone gets the "urge" every once in a while! LOL!
