I really am not sure if i am doing this right, i have never been on a forum like this one (lay out wise) but had to hurry and start posting.

I am currently not privelaged enough to be owned by a frenchie however I had babysat 2 wonderful little guys a lot last winter and fell head over heels for the breed. Which is odd for me as i have always had a strong preference for large breeds. However those 2 litle guys sure barged into my heart with the ferocity of the biggest of the big guys.
I have never met a "small" breed who made me laugh so much and wanted nothing more than just to cuddle up with them on the couch and admire their odd noises. ( which the first night did set me into panic state as it was the first time i had heard such a sound)
Since their owner has now moved away and I no longer get to enjoy their company, I have set out to find a frenchy of my own. I really concern myself with ethics of breeders and am in general not trusting of websites alone, Since I do not know anyone outside of the Tibetan Mastiff, boxer or akita world of breeders I will admit i need some help.
I currently own 3 dogs, a border collie, a rottie/boxer mix and my dream girl a Tibetan Mastiff, up until my TM i have always been involved in rescue, i have my reasons for no longer fostering (as i always failed as a foster mom and those "old" boys ended up living out their golden years with us) emotionally i needed some time away from it. I do make sure i do my part with donations and helping in other ways but need time to heal old wounds.
Along with the dogs, my house is co-owned with 3 cats and my property will be soon taken over by my 2 horses ( they are currently boarded as we are still trying to get adequate shelters and fencing up at our new place)
i look forward to meeting and discussing frenchies with the members here and hope to one day have one to call my very own.

Nice to be here and meet you all

A very big welcome to you, Erika. Our hearts have been stolen by Frenchies, too. We got our first one last December and quickly added our second. We love them! I have always been a big dog person too, but these guys never make me miss the large breeds. And they are more portable so we are taking them more places, which is a good thing. I hope you are able to get your perfect Frenchie soon!

Good luck with your search Erica. It's easy to fall in love with the Frenchie and catch the Frenchie bug. Welcome to the site.

thanks for the welcome, portablity had never crossed my mind, let me say that it is quite a task taking my guys everywhere we go, the 3 of them and my boyfriend in a Tiburon is not an easy feat. We usually have to take 2 vehicles to go places as a "family" lol
