Low fat dog food???

My little girl was diagnosed with having pancreatis. Bottomline she needs to be on a strict low fat diet to prevent future attacks.
I have her on platuim Canidate both dry and canned plus the same brand of treats. I was wondering if there is something else that might be better?
Its very hard to monitor her every move as you all know Frenchies are great Hoovers. I have cut back on her bone chewing and anything that drops on the floor I grab. But as far as the yard goes...its hard as we have horses and goats so she loves those "TREATS". Which she is band from those areas. But she gets in there on occassion.So I want to at least want to give her the least amount of fat in her dog food.

Wellness CORE makes a reduced fat dog food.. and is an excellent brand and dog food.. they rank a 6 out of a possible 6 stars on www.dogfoodanalysis.com and were given a wonderful review on there.

If you're thinking of switching foods, I'd do a very gradual change.. like 10% of the new and 90% of the old, and slowly work up to 100%.. should take about 7-14 days.

Thank you Trish I'll check it out.
I do like the food I'm feeding her just thought I could find one that is easier to find. I'm lucky that at the moment there is a place in my town that carries Canidate. Plus one alittle less expensive. But,with her condition I shouldn't change.
I will look into Wellness cause its more available.

Hey we feed Duke Wellness and it has done wonders for his allergies...I would recommend the brand to anyone..

I will compare the two brands side by side. I'm most concerned with the fat content and Canidate has only 4.5 crude fat. That is low. I'll checkout the Wellness. Like I said it would be more easy to get since they sell it at Petco.
