Just Introducing Myself

hi, i just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. i am assisting carol with the site and will be her co-moderator.

my name is samia blaine and i have owned brachycephalic dogs, frenchies and bulldogs, for 33 years. i live in new hampshire in the u.s. with my understanding husband, dennis and our 3 frenchies. we have 2 brindle boys (yankee & basil) and a little red bmf diva (saucy). we also have a bulldog (hannah). my husband just brought a new puppy into the mix. his name is shemp and he is a chocolate lab.

i'm very involved with frenchie rescue. i volunteer/foster with www.frenchbulldogvillage.org and before that with bullies.

My name is Fran and my wonderful nine year old Frenchie girl is Dari... I am with www.frenchbulldogrescuenetwork.org So between us we have rescue pretty well covered...

Since getting Dari , I have been deeply involved with Frenchies..both rescue and showing.. going to the shows with my friend to help, learning all I can from many of my friends who are Reputable breeders.. I am co-chair of the Responsible Dog Owner Day here in NYC . This year the AKC is holding a "Meet the Breed " day in NYC; Iam the Chair person for the Frenchbulldog Club for this exciting event; dedicated to helping people learn about our dogs in all of thier aspects..

Oh, I almost forgot.. I have two American Bobtail cats... Gilie and Bosco...

Hi Samia! It's so nice to see you here! I'm looking forward to having you around! For those of you who don't know Sami, she is a fountain of knowledge and knows WAY more than I do about Frenchies! :)

Oh trish aren't you sweet! but certainly not a fountain and unfortunately sometimes experiences cause you to have to educate youself and learn more about a subject than you ever thought possible!!! for example i know waaaaay to much about my dogs stools! ;)

fran, i can't begin to tell ya how glad i am to see you here! you and i have been through years together...when you helped me get through my trials and tribulations with yankee and sharing my joy and happiness at saucy & basil's homecoming. i hope you share your knowledge and experience with the board when you can.

I am new to this site too. I am definitely looking forward to all your help when i need them. =) Btw, Samia i was wondering, how did you come across another frenchie? I really want another 1, but i am afraid i won't "qualify" with a reputable breeder because i already own one. What do you think?
